1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all scaffolding hire, erection, dismantling, and related services provided by ET Scaffold Limited (“the Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”). By engaging our services, the client (“you” or “your”) agrees to these Terms in full.


2. Services Provided

We supply, erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding structures for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The scope of works will be detailed in a written quotation or contract. Any alterations or additions requested after acceptance may result in revised costs and timelines.


3. Quotations and Payments

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment terms will be specified in your invoice. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is required within 14 days of invoicing.
  • Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw services if payments are not made in accordance with agreed terms.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • You must ensure that adequate access is available for delivery, erection, and dismantling.
  • The client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, licenses, or authorisations required for scaffolding erection, including pavement or highway permits.
  • Once scaffolding has been erected and handed over, you are responsible for ensuring it is not altered, interfered with, or misused by unauthorised persons.
  • You must inform us immediately of any damage, defect, or issue with the scaffolding.

5. Health and Safety

  • All scaffolding will be erected and inspected in line with current UK regulations, including the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and NASC guidance.
  • Only authorised and competent persons are permitted to access the scaffolding.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the scaffolding is used safely during the hire period.
  • We reserve the right to carry out regular inspections and will charge for remedial works caused by misuse or negligence.

6. Insurance and Liability

  • ET Scaffold Limited maintains appropriate public liability and employer’s liability insurance.
  • We are not liable for damage to property, delays, or financial losses caused by events outside our control, including adverse weather, client delays, or third-party actions.
  • The client is responsible for insuring any materials, equipment, or works carried out on or around the scaffold.
  • Liability for personal injury or death due to our negligence is not excluded or limited.

7. Hire Period and Dismantling

  • The hire period begins upon completion of erection and ends when the scaffolding is dismantled by our team.
  • Any extension to the hire period must be requested in writing and may incur additional costs.
  • We reserve the right to remove scaffolding immediately if it is being used unsafely or contrary to these Terms.

8. Damage and Loss

  • The client will be liable for the cost of repairing or replacing scaffolding components damaged or lost during the hire period, except where caused by our negligence.
  • Unauthorised removal, tampering, or modification of scaffolding is strictly prohibited and may result in additional charges.

9. Termination

  • Either party may terminate this agreement with 7 days’ written notice.
  • We reserve the right to terminate immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to make payment, or compromise health and safety standards.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

  • ET Scaffold Limited will collect and process personal data (such as names, addresses, and contact details) only for the purpose of delivering our services and maintaining client records.
  • We comply with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Client data will never be shared with third parties except where required by law or for service delivery.

11. Cookies and Website Use

  • No personal data will be collected without your consent.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
